Indonesia - Landscapes

The Emerald of the Equator! At the end of 2022 we made a four week trip to this huge and very varied country, spending about one week in each of Sumatra, Java, Bali and Flores (see map) - so really just scratching the surface. We really wanted to see the wildlife in the jungles of Sumatra and on the islands off Flores, but also the many differing cultures and histories throughout the islands and of course the ubiquitous volcanoes! We saw so much that I've organised the photos into six albums: landscapes (this one), palaces, people, temples, traditional houses and wildlife. We visited several UNESCO World Heritage Sites, including the Rainforest of Sumatra, the Cultural Landscape of Bali and the Komodo National Park.
