Malaysia - Sabah and Sarawak Wildlife

We lived in Miri in Sarawak, East Malaysia in the mid-1990's and, with other postings in the region and family living there, we have travelled quite extensively through the country. Some of my early photographs are not so good, so these are from a trip to Sabah and Sarawak in 2019. From Kota Kinabalu we travelled to the base of Mount Kinabalu and then on to Sandakan, to see the impressive turtle conservation work on Pulau Selingan, the Gomantong Caves and the mighty Kinabatangan River. We visited the Orang Utan and Bornean Sun Bear conservation projects in Sepilok, before flying on to the Mulu Caves. From there we travelled to Miri and then on to Kuching and the Bako National Park. As ever, an amazing trip - sorry for all the photos of proboscis monkeys!
